Nuclear Medicine is a branch of Radiology that uses
radioactive pharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat a range
of conditions, with a strong emphasis on Oncology.
MMUH has one of the largest Nuclear Medicine
departments in the country and has it9s own PETCT
Scanner.
A range of Nuclear Medicine therapies are delivered,
where radiation is delivered directly to diseased cells to
treat cancer and thyroid disorders. As leaders in
innovation in healthcare, we were the first hospital in the
country to treat Prostate cancer patients with Lu PSMA
under a compassionate access scheme.
