INTRODUCTION TO HOSPITAL LIFE
PROGRAMME
ABOUT
WHAT TO EXPECT
Introduction to Hospital Life (IHL) is
a dynamic 4-day programme designed
for 4th and 5th year secondary school
students. We offer participants a wellrounded and inspiring insight into
hospital life.Through interactions
with dedicated staff across various
departments, students will explore a
wide range of healthcare careers and
gain a deeper understanding of the
hospital’s mission and daily
operations.
The programme runs Monday –
Thursday, from 10:00 – 16:00 and is
supported by a dedicated Programme
Coordinator.
Students will engage in a varied schedule
of talks from specialist speakers,
interactive skills sessions, simulations
and guided visits to clinical and nonclinical areas. The programme is
designed to suit young people who learn
best through conversation, observation
and hands-on experience. Activities are
facilitated across multiple departments
throughout hospital.
